The official announcement of a GUNDAM TCG has sent ripples of excitement through the Gundam fanbase! A promotional video was shared on the official GUNDAM TCG X (formerly Twitter) account on September 27th, launching the "new global TCG project #GUNDAM." This exciting news coincides with the Mobile Suit Gundam 45th anniversary, commemorating 45 years since the original series captivated audiences worldwide. The format—whether purely physical or incorporating online play—remains unconfirmed.
Complete details will be revealed on October 3rd at 7 PM JST during Bandai's CARD GAMES Next Plan Announcement, which will be livestreamed on Bandai's official YouTube channel. The event will feature popular actors Kanata Hongo and Kotoko Sasaki, and former TV Tokyo announcer Shohei Taguchi. Hongo, a known GUNPLA enthusiast, previously participated in the GUNPLA 40th Anniversary Project in 2020, demonstrating his passion for both GUNPLA and the Gundam franchise.
