In a recent interview, Mizobe discussed the challenges of bringing Palworld to the Switch. While future platform releases are under consideration, no official announcements regarding the Switch or other platforms (PlayStation, mobile) have been made. Discussions are ongoing, but nothing concrete is confirmed at this time. He previously acknowledged the game's demanding PC specifications pose a significant challenge for a Switch port.

Despite these technical difficulties, Mizobe remains optimistic about expanding Palworld's reach to new platforms. The company is open to partnerships and acquisition offers, but hasn't engaged in buyout discussions with Microsoft.

Future Vision: More "Ark" and "Rust" Elements

Beyond platform considerations, Mizobe shared his vision for enhancing Palworld's multiplayer experience. An upcoming arena mode, described as an experiment, will pave the way for a future true PvP mode, aiming to incorporate elements reminiscent of popular survival games like Ark and Rust, known for their challenging environments, resource management, and extensive player interaction.

Palworld, Pocketpair's unique creature-collecting and survival shooter, has enjoyed a remarkably successful launch, selling 15 million copies on PC within its first month and attracting 10 million players on Xbox Game Pass. A significant update, the Sakurajima update, launches this Thursday, introducing a new island and the highly anticipated PvP arena.
