Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to introduce thrilling new features. The highly anticipated trading system is arriving alongside the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, enabling players to exchange cards with friends within the game.

When Will Pokémon TCG Pocket Launch Trading and Space-Time Smackdown?

Starting January 29, 2025, players can begin trading cards. The Space-Time Smackdown expansion follows on January 30, bringing fresh content. This update also enhances your digital binder and display board with new covers featuring Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.

The trading feature, long-awaited by fans, requires two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Tradable cards are limited to rarity levels 1-4 and ★1.

Initially, only cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions can be traded, with developers promising more tradable cards in future updates.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion focuses on the Sinnoh region, introducing two new booster packs showcasing Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, along with striking new card artwork.

Fan-favorite Lucario, the steel-and-fighting type, joins the Sinnoh starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup in this expansion. For a closer look at what’s coming, watch the video below.
