As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the Final Strike: GO Battle Week is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through May 27th, marking the culmination of your journey with Kubfu. This final week is your chance to evolve your determined little bear into the legendary Urshifu, available in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike. To unlock the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same steps but target 30 Water-type Pokémon instead.

In addition to the evolution challenge, the Final Strike: GO Battle Week features a Special Research that continues the ongoing Seasonal storyline. This research is available until June 3rd, 2025, and offers rewards such as Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

On May 25th, Pokémon GO enthusiasts can look forward to the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles. This event comes with several enticing bonuses: you'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles, the Max Particle storage cap increases to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. During this time, you'll also earn 8× Max Particles from Power Spots and gain the ability to make two extra Special Trades.

Don't overlook the opportunity to collect Max Mushrooms during the event. These items temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple Max Mushrooms to extend the timer, although the power boost remains consistent.
