Scanwords in Russian are a truly unique phenomenon, unmatched in any other language. They are brimming with literary questions, humor, and contemporary global context, all woven into the fabric of what might otherwise seem like mere puzzles. The Russian people, with their deep reverence for the word, cherish, honor, and treasure it as something profoundly valuable.

Our application offers a diverse range of Scanwords—from the straightforward to the more challenging, featuring photographs, classic queries, or associative prompts like "one word" or "one word, two words," reminiscent of Elder Fur's tips. Each magazine includes an English-Russian Scanword and a "holey" one; you'll soon discover the reason behind this intriguing name. You'll be greeted by a character from our cheerful family on every page. Join us and become part of the fun!

All Scanwords are freely available to readers. Our annual collection features 52-53 issues, each containing 20 Scanwords. The entire yearly set will occupy about 50 MB on your device—the images are compact, and the text is simply text. We respect your device's storage space.

No internet connection is required to enjoy solving the puzzles, provided the Scanwords are already downloaded to your phone. A new magazine issue is released every Friday. If you've kept the "notification" option enabled, you'll receive a reminder every Friday at 12:00 local time about the fresh release. When you open the app, the new issue downloads automatically and won't repeat if successful. Additionally, you can download or delete any magazine individually on your device, or use the "Settings" to download all magazines with a single click.

Access to all Scanwords and the app's main features comes at no cost to the reader. Our advertisers sponsor this feast, allowing for a narrow banner on each page and a single interstitial ad before opening a Scanword. Rest assured, our advertisers do not disrupt your solving experience. In fact, they reward you generously with free hints for watching their videos.

Readers have the option, but not the obligation, to "interrupt" the advertiser by: a) permanently disabling ads, b) subscribing to turn off ads for the subscription period and gain unlimited hints, or c) collecting hints in bulk. All these options are clearly displayed in the "Shop."
