Pesten With Cards, known in Dutch as "Pesten met Kaarten," translates to "Bullying With Cards" and is a beloved card game in the Netherlands. Similar games are played globally, including Mau-Mau, Crazy Eights, Shedding, Puque, Чешский Дурак, Фараон, Крокодил, Tschau Sepp, and Uno. The objective is to be the first to discard all your cards, but remember to declare "Last Card" before playing your final card, or face a penalty of drawing two cards.

The game accommodates multiple decks, including jokers, with each player receiving seven cards at the start. The remaining cards form the draw pile, and the top card is flipped to initiate play. Players take turns clockwise, aiming to match the top card on the discard pile either by number or suit. Jokers and Jacks are versatile and can be played on any card. If unable to play, a player must draw from the deck, with the option to immediately play the drawn card if it's playable.

Last Card

When down to your final card, you must click the "Last Card" button above your cards to alert others. Failure to do so before playing your last card results in a penalty of two additional cards, and your last card remains unplayed. Incorrectly declaring "Last Card" also incurs this penalty. The button can be pressed out of turn to ensure readiness.

Winning the round involves playing your last card, which must not be a special card.

Special Cards

Special cards trigger specific actions, which can vary across Dutch regions but are customizable in the game settings. Here are the actions associated with each special card:

• Joker: The next player draws five cards. If they play another joker, the subsequent player draws ten, with each additional joker increasing the draw by five. Drawn cards cannot be played immediately.

• Two: The next player draws two cards. If they play another two, the following player draws four, with each additional two adding two more cards. Optionally, a joker can be played on a two, adding five cards to the draw. A two cannot be played on a joker. Drawn cards cannot be played immediately.

• Seven: Requires another card to be played. If you're down to your last card after playing a seven, remember to declare "Last Card." If unable to play, draw a card.

• Eight: The next player skips their turn, allowing the player after them to go. In a two-player game, this allows you to play another card.

• Ten: All players pass one card to the left. Click on the card you wish to give.
