Squares: The Daily Word Strand Puzzle! Maximize your word count to win! Squares is a daily word puzzle game blending strategy and wordplay. Your mission: complete squares on the grid to create words.

How to Play:

Connect letters in any direction – up, down, left, right, or diagonally – to form words. The goal is to uncover all words on the grid and achieve the highest possible score.

Game Rules:

• Scoring: Earn one point for each letter in a word (e.g., a five-letter word earns five points).
• Word Length: Words must be at least four letters long.
• Letter Usage: Each tile can only be used once per word.
• Exclusions: Hyphenated words, proper nouns, offensive language, and uncommon terms are not included in the main word list.

Bonus Words & Challenges:

• Bonus Words: Discover obscure, archaic, or slang terms. These don't earn points but appear on a separate bonus list. Continue your search for bonus words even after finding all the main words!
• Word of the Day: Each puzzle features a special, often longer, bonus word. Guessing it rewards you with two extra hints!

Gameplay Features:

• Daily Puzzle: A new Squares puzzle is available daily at midnight.
• Grid Rotation: Rotate the grid left or right using the buttons in the bottom right corner for a fresh perspective.
• Hints: After finding 40% of the words, a hint system activates, displaying a number on each letter indicating how many words begin with that letter (a zero indicates no words start with that letter). Orange letters are no longer used in main words but might appear in bonus words. Each puzzle provides 3-5 hints (lightbulb icon) revealing a random word's first letter and search direction. Sharing the game link earns one extra hint!
