How to Play

Town of Salem supports 7 to 15 players, who are randomly assigned into various alignments including Town, Mafia, Serial Killers, Arsonists, and Neutrals. As a member of the Town, your mission is to identify and eliminate the Mafia and other villains before they can take you out. The challenge lies in not knowing who among your peers is friend or foe.

If you're assigned an evil role like a Serial Killer, your goal is to secretly dispatch Town members under the cover of night while evading detection.

Roles

With 33 unique roles, Town of Salem offers a fresh experience each time you play. Before the game begins, players enter a lobby where the host can customize the role selection. Once the game starts, roles are randomly assigned from the chosen list. Each player receives an in-game role card detailing their abilities and alignment. Game Phases

Night

The night phase is crucial as most roles exercise their abilities during this time. Serial Killers execute their sinister plans, Doctors work to save lives, and Sheriffs investigate for signs of nefarious activities.

Day

During the day, Town members gather to deliberate and pinpoint suspects. When the voting phase initiates, a majority vote can send someone to trial.

Defense

In the defense phase, the accused must convincingly argue their innocence to avoid the gallows.

Judgement

The town then decides the accused's fate in the judgement phase, voting guilty, innocent, or abstaining. A guilty verdict leads to execution by hanging.

Customization

Personalize your Town of Salem experience by selecting your map, character, pet, lobby icon, death animation, house, and custom name. These choices are visible to all other players, allowing you to stand out in the game.
