Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo, and if you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you're in for a treat. Now, you can dive back into the intrigue with some of the iconic characters from the 2016 edition.

Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?

The pack features well-known characters such as Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This update is all about these beloved characters, offering you the flexibility to place them in any scenario you desire. There's no restriction to specific crime scenes or case files, allowing you to blend nostalgia with creativity.

You have the freedom to choose your favorite character from 2016 and play with them, or mix them with the newer 2023 cast for a unique experience. Fans of the 2016 version have been vocal about wanting these characters back, especially feeling that the 2023 additions were a bit too modern. It's great to see Marmalade Game Studio responding to their community's wishes with this exciting pack.

There’s More Coming to the Game!

In addition to the 2016 Suspects Pack, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new game mode: the Retro Rules Set. This mode, which is completely free, takes you back to the original 1949 rules, enhancing your gameplay with vintage mechanics.

The Retro Rules Set reintroduces old-school gameplay elements that alter how you move and make accusations. For instance, game tokens start at designated spots on the board, and Miss Scarlet always makes the first move—unless she's absent, in which case Colonel Mustard takes the lead. Accusations must be made from within a room, and Clue Cards are removed from this mode. Additionally, you cannot move through squares occupied by other players.
