Ubisoft Mainz has recently shared exciting new details about Anno 117: Pax Romana through a captivating trailer. Initially, the game was set to explore two distinct regions: Lazio and Albion. However, the latest preview suggests that Lazio serves as the starting point for players before they venture into the primary setting of Albion.

Creative Director Manuel Rainer explains that Lazio begins as a tranquil setting, but a sudden disaster forces players to explore new territories. These territories are located in Britain, known as Albion, which presents a challenging environment with harsh weather, rebellious tribes, and significant distance from Rome, making governance particularly difficult.

In the game, players take on the role of a governor, tasked with navigating these challenges without relying solely on violence. Instead, they can build peace by respecting and integrating local customs. One of the game's standout features is the ability to customize ships. Players can choose to enhance their vessels for speed with additional oarsmen or increase their combat effectiveness with archery turrets.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is set to launch in 2025 and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms. This highly anticipated game promises a rich, strategic experience set against the backdrop of the Roman Empire.
