Pokémon GO launches the Sweet Discoveries event, introducing Applin for the first time. Perfect for collectors and shiny hunters, this event is packed with exciting features. Read on for all the details.

When Does Applin Appear in Pokémon GO?

The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and ends on April 29th at 8:00 p.m. Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region, makes its highly anticipated debut.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, gather 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. For Appletun, you’ll need 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples. Evolving to Dipplin leads to its final form, Hydrapple.

Apples are key to evolution and can be found in the wild. Tapping them may yield a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Mossy Lure Modules boost the chances of encountering Apples.

Fun Fact

Applin lives inside an apple its entire life, disguising itself as fruit to evade bird Pokémon predators. It’s easily one of the most adorable creatures in Pokémon GO’s lineup.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, new avatar items hit the shop, including an Applin Headband and Applin Apron. Plus, enjoy a 2× Candy bonus for catching Pokémon throughout the event.

Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet are more likely to appear in the wild, with increased odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
