Understanding the complex impacts of climate change can be daunting, but gaming has emerged as a powerful tool for raising awareness. Soon, an innovative new release called Atuel will bring this important issue to the mobile platform, offering a unique blend of documentary and experimental gameplay.

Atuel masterfully combines documentary-style interviews with experts, experimental gameplay, and stunning, dreamlike visuals. As players navigate the expansive pastel landscapes surrounding the Atuel River, they'll uncover the profound effects of climate change on the Cuyo desert and its inhabitants. This immersive experience not only entertains but educates on a crucial environmental issue.

Following its critically acclaimed debut on itch.io in 2022, developer Matajuegos is now set to broaden Atuel's reach to a wider audience. The game will first launch on Steam before making its way to Google Play later this year. This strategic approach targets the vast user bases of both platforms, ensuring that more players can engage with the game's thought-provoking themes.

Unfortunately, mobile gamers will need to wait a bit longer as Atuel will hit Steam first. However, given its compelling narrative and minimalist yet captivating visuals, there's no doubt that Atuel will capture a significant audience on Google Play upon its release later this year.
