BAFTA Makes the Bold Move of Not Including DLC For Its GotY Nominees

最终入围名单将于2025年3月4日公布，颁奖典礼则定于2025年4月8日举行。
最受期待的奖项之一是“最佳游戏奖”，以下是10款有望获得此殊荣的优秀游戏：

值得注意的是，《最终幻想7 重生》、《艾尔登法环：雪山之环》和《寂静岭2》等热门游戏虽然出现在完整长名单中，但并未入围“最佳游戏”奖项。这是因为它们是重制版、重制大师版或DLC。根据BAFTA游戏奖官方规则和指南，“在资格期限之外发行的游戏的重制版不符合资格。完整的重制版和大量的全新内容不符合最佳游戏或英国游戏的资格，但可以在它们能够展现出显著原创性的工艺类别中符合资格。”
尽管如此，《最终幻想7 重生》和《寂静岭2》仍入围完整长名单，将角逐音乐、叙事和技术成就等多个奖项。而《艾尔登法环》的热门DLC《雪山之环》则完全没有出现在BAFTA的名单上。具体原因尚不清楚，但《雪山之环》预计将出现在其他年度游戏奖项中，例如TGA。
