Once upon a time, DC's Batman enjoyed a seemingly endless stream of video game adaptations, a new title appearing almost annually. The Dark Knight reigned supreme, and the Rocksteady Arkham series, in particular, revolutionized the superhero game genre, leaving a lasting impact felt even today.

Lately, however, the Batman game franchise has experienced a noticeable lull. A truly standalone Batman adventure hasn't graced our screens since 2017's The Enemy Within, and there's currently no indication of that changing soon. While comic book enthusiasts have a wealth of upcoming superhero games to anticipate, those eager to don the cowl of Bruce Wayne must turn to the past to discover the best Batman gaming experiences.

He featured prominently in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, though Rocksteady's offering can't be strictly classified as a solo Batman title.
