After rolling credits in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you can continue exploring the vast open world of Feudal Japan. The game remains fully accessible, allowing you to delve into side quests and explore every corner of the map. Even after achieving 100% completion, new weekly challenges will be introduced through the Animus post-launch, providing fresh content to keep you engaged.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

The story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows doesn't end with the credits. In my experience, the credits rolled after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests of Yasuke and Naoe. However, to unlock the true ending and the epilogue, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro, then return to the Hideout to speak with Tomiko. This will unlock the complete ending and associated achievements.

Additionally, as you near the end of the game, you'll unlock exclusive Assassin-themed gear for Naoe and Templar-themed gear for Yasuke. These sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist's playstyle, offering a nostalgic touch for long-time Assassin’s Creed fans.

Even after the credits, you can continue to level up your characters to the game’s maximum level cap, ensuring there's always something to strive for.

What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the journey doesn't end there. Ubisoft plans to add new content through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see updates with new items. Moreover, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025, taking players to the Island of Awaji for over 10 hours of additional content.
