Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and countless others, has shared a moving message following a near-fatal incident. Found "barely alive" in his hotel room last week, Johnson's recovery is underway, a journey he's documenting via a GoFundMe campaign.

The campaign, which has already raised an impressive $174,653 for medical and living expenses, includes a video message from Johnson himself, revealing he was in a coma. He expressed profound gratitude for the outpouring of support, stating, "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you."

Johnson, also a Washington Capitals announcer, was in Atlanta for a National Alzheimer's Foundation benefit when the incident occurred. His absence from the event triggered concern, leading his wife to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs found him with a barely detectable pulse.

In his video, Johnson recounted the near-death experience, stating, "Rumors of my demise weren't exaggerated. It was very close. But I'm still here." He credits his wife's quick thinking and the actions of his son, friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, and the GoFundMe organizers for saving his life.

Johnson extended heartfelt thanks to numerous individuals and organizations, including the National Alzheimer's Association, Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis ($25,000 donation), and Bethesda Studios, who publicly expressed their support. He concluded his message with a promise to his fans: "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere. It's going to be a while, but I'm coming back."

Johnson's extensive voice acting career spans video games, film, and television, but he's particularly recognized for his contributions to Bethesda's iconic titles. His memorable roles include Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, multiple Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, and Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, among many others.
