Patch 8 Stress Test Update 1: Bug Fixes and Improvements

Exclusive to Testers

This update addresses various bugs, crashes, and scripting errors in the Patch 8 stress test build. Patch 8 itself is a major update, anticipated to be one of the final large content releases from Larian before moving on from Faerûn. Key features include cross-platform play, over 12 new subclasses (such as the Death Domain Cleric, Path of Giants Barbarian, and Arcane Archer Fighter), and the highly anticipated Photo Mode.

Unleash Your Inner Photographer with Photo Mode

While waiting for Patch 8, explore the detailed Photo Mode preview video. Larian aims to empower players to maximize Photo Mode's potential from day one.

Accessible almost anywhere—during exploration, combat, and even in multiplayer (for the host)—Photo Mode offers extensive customization. Pose companions and characters, include or exclude party members, add elements like a jumping frog, and utilize a free-moving camera for the perfect shot. Post-processing effects, stickers, and frames add further creative options. Note that during dialogues and cutscenes, only post-processing effects are available.

This is just the beginning; Larian plans to share additional tips and tricks videos to further inspire player creativity.
