Patch 8 Stress Test Update 1: Bug Fixes and Improvements

This update addresses various bugs, crashes, and scripting errors in the Patch 8 stress test build. Improvements include ensuring Gale correctly uses magical items, containers retaining their contents when destroyed, enhanced screenshot functionality in Photo Mode for Steam Deck users, more responsive character poses, improved cross-play, updated Booming Blade tooltip values, and several crash fixes. Patch 8 itself is a major update, anticipated to be one of the final large content releases from Larian before moving on from Faerûn. Key features include cross-platform play, over 12 new subclasses (such as the Death Domain Cleric, Path of Giants Barbarian, and Arcane Archer Fighter), and the highly anticipated Photo Mode.

Accessible almost anywhere—during exploration, combat, and even in multiplayer (for the host)—Photo Mode offers extensive customization. Post-processing effects, stickers, and frames add further creative options. Note that during dialogues and cutscenes, only post-processing effects are available.
