New Black Ops 6 Zombies Map May Cut Amalgams
Exciting news for fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6—a brand new Zombies map is on the horizon! Developer Treyarch has unveiled a sneak peek of the Mansion, set to be the fifth addition to the round-based survival mode. This thrilling revelation came via an official post on the Call of Duty X (Twitter) account and Treyarch Studio’s X (Twitter) on March 12, 2025.
The teaser image showcases the front of a grand mansion, showing visible signs of battle with damaged walls, flaming army car wreckage, and ominous black smoke billowing from within. The caption, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" accompanied by a "#Zombies" hashtag, hints at the return of the iconic character Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, known from Call of Duty: Cold War. As Black Ops 6 is a remake, it's fitting that Eddie will make another appearance.
Fans have noted that this new map is set in the Mansion from Liberty Falls, dated February 1991, aligning perfectly with the narrative timeline from the previous map, The Tomb. This suggests a seamless continuation of the Zombies storyline.
One of the most intriguing aspects of the new map is the confirmed absence of Amalgam enemies. In response to a fan's comment on Instagram about anticipating the challenge of facing 20 amalgams, Treyarch simply replied, "Nope." Amalgams are notorious for their high HP and devastating attacks, so their exclusion could make for a smoother gameplay experience on this map.
