Borderlands 4 Release Date Confirmed
Gearbox has officially confirmed the release date for Borderlands 4.
At the recent State of Play event, Gearbox president Randy Pitchford announced that Borderlands 4 will launch on September 23, 2025. To mark the occasion, Gearbox unveiled a new trailer showcasing exciting gameplay additions.
A standout feature revealed in the trailer is the addition of a grappling hook, adding a new dimension to traversal and combat. However, fans need not worry – the trailer is packed with the series' signature blend of over-the-top weaponry, explosive action, and chaotic mayhem.Further celebrating the release date announcement, Gearbox revealed a dedicated Borderlands 4 State of Play presentation premiering this spring. This special showcase will delve deeper into the gameplay and, naturally, showcase a plethora of new weaponry.
While story details remain scarce, the lead writer hinted that the previous installment might have over-relied on "toilet humor." Whether Borderlands 4 will adopt a more mature tone remains to be seen.
