Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Feature Challenge Tracker
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is getting a much-requested feature: in-game challenge tracking. Treyarch Studios confirmed the feature is under development, addressing player disappointment over its absence from launch. While a release date isn't set, its arrival is anticipated soon, potentially coinciding with the Season 2 update later this month.
A recent January 9th update included various bug fixes for multiplayer and zombies modes, notably reversing a controversial Zombies change that extended time between rounds. However, the challenge tracking announcement was separate from the patch notes, revealed via a Twitter interaction with a fan.
The addition of challenge tracking will significantly improve gameplay, particularly for players pursuing Mastery camos. The functionality is expected to mirror Modern Warfare 3's system, providing a real-time in-game tracker for selected challenges, eliminating the need to check progress after each match.
Treyarch also confirmed another highly requested feature is in development: separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies. This will allow players to customize their HUD for each mode without constant adjustments.
