Celebrating Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary, Capcom's action-RPG franchise teams up with Digimon to release the "Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition" V-Pet. This special edition features designs based on the iconic Rathalos and Zinogre monsters.
Monster Hunter and Digimon: A 20th Anniversary Collaboration
The Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition is now available for pre-order in Japan, priced at 7,700 Yen (approximately $53.2 USD) plus shipping and handling. Each device boasts a vibrant color LCD screen, utilizes UV printing technology, and includes a rechargeable battery. Familiar features include customizable background designs, a "Cold Mode" to temporarily pause monster growth, and a backup system to save progress.
Japan-Only Release (For Now)
Currently, pre-orders are exclusively available through Bandai's official Japanese online store. International shipping will incur additional costs. Note that the initial pre-order window closes at 11:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET) today, with information on subsequent pre-orders to be announced via the Digimon Web Twitter (X) account. The release date is slated for April 2025. Demand is high, with initial stock selling out shortly after the announcement. Global release plans remain unconfirmed.
