Tentacle Tactics

Nu Udra presents a significant challenge. Its massive tentacles grant it impressive reach, making evasion tricky. However, these very tentacles offer melee fighters their closest attack points. Severing the arms yields extra materials, but proceed cautiously—they're powerful weapons themselves.

Target the Maw

Ranged weapon users have more options, but the mouth remains the prime target. Nu Udra's predominantly black hide makes it difficult to spot, but its 4-star weakness makes it worthwhile. The head offers a 3-star weakness to ammo, a solid alternative for blunt and cut damage.

Harness the Power of Watermoss

Nu Udra possesses a fire affinity. In addition to its physical attacks, it unleashes fiery assaults, even setting itself ablaze, inflicting the dangerous Fireblight debuff. Strategic use of Watermoss is crucial for mitigating this threat and allowing safe attacks.

Embrace Fire Resistance

Struggling? Prioritize fire-resistant gear. The Quematrice armor set, with its Fire Resistance skill, is highly recommended. Fire Res Jewels reduce fire damage, while Stream Jewels boost water attack damage.

Evade the Grasp

Nu Udra's grab attack is particularly dangerous. If caught within its tentacles, it unleashes a fiery blast. Use a knife to break free during the brief pause, or exploit its weak point with a Slinger.

Capturing the Black Flame

To capture Nu Udra, prepare Pitfall or Shock Traps. However, deployment requires significant weakening—look for the skull icon beside the boss icon to signal readiness. Lure it with meat or skillfully position yourself behind the trap. Once trapped, quickly use a Tranquilizer (you have approximately five seconds before escape).
