CES 2025 showcased exciting new consoles and accessories, with handheld devices generating considerable buzz. A purported Nintendo Switch 2 prototype even made private appearances, though official confirmation remains elusive.
New PS5 Accessories in Midnight Black
Sony expanded its stylish Midnight Black PS5 accessory line. Joining the existing DualSense controller and console covers are:
- DualSense Edge wireless controller - $199.99 USD
- PlayStation Elite wireless headset - $149.99 USD
- PlayStation Explore wireless earbuds - $199.99 USD
- PlayStation Portal remote player - $199.99 USD

Lenovo Legion Go S: SteamOS on the Go
Lenovo unveiled the Legion Go S, the world's first officially licensed SteamOS handheld. Boasting an 8-inch VRR1 screen, adjustable triggers, and hall-effect joysticks, it offers seamless cloud saves and remote play functionality.
Full Steam ecosystem access, including your library, cloud, chat, and game recording, is included. System updates are handled directly through SteamOS. The Legion Go S launches in May 2025 at $499.99 USD, with a Windows version available in January 2025 starting at $729.99 USD.
Valve also confirmed ongoing work to bring SteamOS support to other handheld devices.

Other notable announcements included Nvidia's RTX 50-series graphics cards and Acer's eco-friendly Aspire Vero 16 laptop. The continued success of the Nintendo Switch fueled speculation about a Switch 2, with unconfirmed sightings at CES 2025.
