Civilization VII: A Roadmap to Global Domination

Civilization VII's launch is imminent, with a release date set for February 11th. Deluxe and Founders Edition owners gain five days early access, starting February 6th. A day-one patch will also be released. The game will be available across all major platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, including Steam Deck compatibility.

Firaxis Games and 2K have declared Civilization VII a gold standard, signifying the completion of primary development and a strong commitment to the release date, barring unforeseen issues. This highly anticipated turn-based 4X strategy game promises a refined and expanded experience.

The initial DLC, "Crossroads of the World," arrives in two parts this March. The first installment introduces Great Britain and Carthage as playable civilizations, alongside the new leader Ada Lovelace. Three weeks later, the second part adds Simon Bolivar as a leader and Bulgaria and Nepal as new civilizations.

A second DLC, "Right to Rule," is scheduled for release in Q2 or Q3 2025 (April-September). This expansion will include two additional leaders, four more civilizations, and new natural wonders.

Further enhancements are planned, including new in-game events and natural wonders (such as the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest) launching in March. Firaxis promises ongoing improvements and challenges to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.
