Sid Meier's Civilization VII, the highly anticipated 4X strategy game from Firaxis Games and 2K, has officially gone gold! This means development is complete, and barring unforeseen circumstances, the game will launch as scheduled on February 11th. Get ready to conquer the world across all modern platforms, including Steam Deck (where it's been verified).

Civilization VII brings a host of exciting refinements to the beloved franchise, with reviewers praising the largely positive impact of the new features. A key addition is the innovative Legend system, rewarding players for completing campaigns. This cleverly addresses the common issue of unfinished campaigns due to the game's considerable playtime.

While not generating the same level of buzz as Grand Theft Auto VI, Civilization VII remains one of the year's most anticipated titles within its genre. Priced at the standard $70, pre-orders are now open.
