Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 released its first update since launch. Sandfall Interactive announced on April 30 via a Steam blog that Hotfix 1.2.2 is live, tackling multiple bugs and refining localization.

Fixed issues include soft-locks from stunning the Grown Bourgeon, world map glitches, and others. The update also enhances French, German, and Chinese language support for select game elements.

The developers are actively working on further improvements, with more details to follow. While these fixes are vital, fans are eager for larger updates, such as potential DLC.

Recently, the lead writer of Expedition 33 responded to fan inquiries on Instagram about possible DLC. Without confirming, she expressed optimism, noting the game’s success boosts DLC prospects.

Expedition 33 Director Endorses Same-Day RPG Release

Sandfall Games’ Creative Director Guillaume Broche recommended another RPG launched alongside Expedition 33. In a Twitter (X) post on April 30, Broche encouraged fans to explore The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, saying, “After Expedition, try The Hundred Line, a stellar turn-based RPG released last week, crafted with passion by a talented team.”

This followed a tweet from The Hundred Line’s co-director Kazutaka Kodaka on April 28, praising Expedition 33. He noted, “Once you’ve enjoyed Expedition 33, this Japanese gem awaits!” Kodaka continued, urging fans to experience both standout RPGs.

Despite competing with major RPGs like Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered, The Hundred Line has earned “Very Positive” Steam reviews. Expedition 33, meanwhile, holds 2025’s top rating, with over 1 million copies sold in three days.
