The developers have not only resumed work on the upcoming title but have also recently rolled out an update for the beloved originals. This update significantly enhances the technical performance of *DOOM* and *DOOM 2* and introduces exciting new features.

One of the key improvements is the support for multiplayer modifications. Compatible mods can now be created using Vanilla DOOM, DeHackEd, MBF21, or BOOM. This update ensures that all players can pick up items during cooperative play, adding a new layer of strategy and teamwork. Additionally, an observer mode has been added, allowing players who are dead to watch the action and wait for revival. The multiplayer network code has been optimized, ensuring smoother gameplay. The mod loader has also been upgraded to handle more than the first 100+ mods that a player subscribes to, offering greater flexibility and variety.

Players will have the option to adjust the aggression level of demons through the settings, tailoring the experience to their preferred level of challenge.
