Destiny 2's Heresy episode introduces a mysterious item: the Curio of the Nine. This enigmatic token, described as bearing "markings of the Nine," has sparked curiosity among players. While its purpose remains undisclosed – the Nine themselves claim not to reveal it yet – its connection to the lore surrounding these powerful beings in Unknown Space is undeniable.

Can You Discard the Curio?

Yes, you can delete the Curio of the Nine from your inventory. However, the game warns that this action is irreversible; the item cannot be reacquired. Given the ominous nature of the Nine, discarding it is generally discouraged, at least until the Heresy episode concludes.

Heresy's Duration and the Curio's Fate

Destiny 2 Episodes typically unfold across three Acts, each lasting several weeks. While Heresy, launched February 4th, 2025, doesn't have a confirmed end date, it's likely to conclude sometime in the summer or possibly early fall of 2025, based on previous episode durations. The Curio's ultimate function may be revealed by then.

In short, the Curio of the Nine's current purpose in Destiny 2 is unknown, but its mysterious nature and irreplaceable status make it a fascinating piece of the Heresy narrative. For now, keeping it might be wise.
