Cyberpunk 2077's Fortnite debut excited fans, but the absence of the male version of protagonist V sparked speculation. However, the reason is far less complicated than initially thought.
Patrick Mills, Cyberpunk 2077's lore lead, made the final call. The collaboration's two-character limit, coupled with the inclusion of Johnny Silverhand (a male character), left only one spot. Mills opted for the female V, citing both logistical reasons and personal preference.
The decision was a pragmatic one, not a deliberate exclusion. This marks Keanu Reeves' second Fortnite skin, following the addition of John Wick.
