You begin your adventure in Dead Sails with the default class, The Nothing Role. To switch to a new class, head to the purple class store and try your luck with the spinning mechanism. There are two types of spins: Regular and Lucky. A Regular Spin costs 3 Dabloons and offers the following odds:

Common: 62.5%
Rare: 30.25%
Epic: 7%
Legendary: 0.25%

A Lucky Spin can be purchased additionally and provides better chances:

Rare: 30.25%
Epic: 64.75%
Legendary: 5%

Be warned, the spinning odds in Dead Sails can be frustrating due to their lower-than-advertised success rates. We recommend new players save up at least 250 Dabloons before attempting to spin for Epic and Legendary classes, preparing for the massive daily grinds ahead.
