First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is an eight-episode series produced by Castlevania's Adi Shankar and animated by Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, X-Men '97).
Plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, but the series appears to focus on Dante, likely during the timeframe of the first three Devil May Cry games, though any direct game connections haven't been officially confirmed. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, known for voicing Nero in the video game franchise.
The most recent Devil May Cry game, Devil May Cry 5 (2019), marked a triumphant return for the series after a period of relative inactivity following DmC: Devil May Cry (2013). A critically acclaimed action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our comprehensive review here.
