Get Your Pet

As you dive into Diablo 4 Season 7, your first stop should be the nearest town with a Wardrobe. Interact with it to claim your pet. While these furry companions won't join the fray in combat, they're invaluable for collecting gold and materials automatically. This means less time spent picking up items and more time focusing on battling and looting.

Grab Your Mercenaries

If you've got the Vessel of Hatred expansion, head to the Den to recruit a Mercenary. Solo players can bring along two Mercenaries, making both leveling and combat smoother. Plus, building Rapport with them can unlock additional rewards, enhancing your gameplay experience.

Follow the Seasonal Questline and Level Up

Begin your journey on Normal difficulty and follow the seasonal questline marked by green leaf icons on your map. This path will introduce you to new mechanics like Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and the intriguing Witch powers. While the questline isn't overly long, it includes some puzzles and requires you to farm Favors in Headhunt zones.

This questline doubles as an efficient leveling strategy, pushing you towards level 60. Focus on defeating Headhunt zone bosses and collecting Favors to level up and enhance your Witch powers simultaneously.

Unlock Your Class Power

A handy quality-of-life update means you no longer need to repeat class-specific priority quests if you've completed them on a previous character. Just log into the Eternal realm with that character first. For example, if you're planning to play a Rogue in Season 7, log in with a pre-existing Rogue with completed priority quests. Then, when you start with your new Season 7 Rogue, your class power will unlock automatically once you hit the required level.

Headhunt Zones

When navigating Headhunt zones, prioritize completing Whispers. With four zones active at any time, choose the smallest and most compact ones for higher enemy density, which allows for faster mob farming and Whisper completion.

Focus on these two Whisper quests:

• Fugitive: Recover a head or destroy a husk by defeating Elites and interacting with roots.
• Shepherd: A simpler task where you escort animals around the map.

Once you accumulate 10 Grim Favors, exchange them at the Tree of Whispers for a cache. Alternatively, turn in Favors to the Raven of the Tree found in each Headhunt zone, saving you a trip back to the Tree.

Witchcraft Powers

At the Tree of Whispers, use Altars of Witchcraft to buy and upgrade your Witchcraft powers with Restless Rot, obtained by defeating new Rot enemies. While initial purchases are affordable, upgrades can be costly. Prioritize powers that boost your damage output for effective passive damage increase.

Some Witch powers are exclusive to Forgotten Altars, which you can encounter in regular dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds at Torment 1 difficulty. Use a Draught of Whispers to boost your chances of finding these altars.

Rootholds

Diablo 4 Season 7 introduces Rootholds, a new dungeon type accessible with Whispering Woods, earned through Whispers and Silent Chests. Rootholds function like a rogue-lite mode, where you can apply negative modifiers to enhance loot quality. As you progress, open Exposed Roots for loot, influenced by the modifiers you've chosen. Don't forget to include Pits and Nightmare Dungeons in your routine. Nightmare Dungeons are your source for Glyphs, while Pits help level them up. Additionally, farm Infernal Hordes for masterworking materials essential for powering up your Uniques.
