One such task is finding Rosa's book, which is crucial not only for completing the quest but also for potential romance opportunities with Rosa. Unlocking the Rosa’s Book Side Quest

To unlock "Rosa's Book," you first need to complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family in dealing with Vavak, either through force or persuasion, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll inform you about a secret passage into Maleshov that you can use to rescue Hans. During this conversation, Rosa will mention her missing book and ask you to retrieve it for her. Be sure to ask her about the specifics of the book and promise to bring it back to her, officially starting the "Rosa's Book" side quest.

This quest can only be completed during "Taking French Leave." If you leave Maleshov with Hans without securing the book, the quest will fail, and you'll miss the chance to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is located along your path to Hans' room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head towards the largest tower where Hans is held at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to access the entrance. Once inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a small kitchen nearby. Hide in the kitchen until the guards finish their conversation and leave the tower.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where Lady Ofka is sitting, facing the fireplace. Quietly approach her from behind and knock her out. Take the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and the sword from the chest in her room. In the same room, to the right of the fireplace, you'll find Rosa's book in a window alcove. Pick it up, and your objective will update to return the book to Rosa.

While in the area, consider entering the next room to grab another sword from the chest, which will save time later when you meet Hans and his unexpected guest, as you'll need two weapons. After collecting these items, proceed to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans is reluctant to use the passageway, you can advance your romantic prospects with him by selecting the dialogue option marked with a heart, provided you made similar choices earlier in Trosky. Then, make your way to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.

After opening the gate and concluding the quest with another cutscene, return to Kuttenberg City and visit Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, completing this essential side task in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
