DOOM: The Dark Ages Gameplay and Release Unleashed
Bethesda and id Software showcased a new DOOM: The Dark Ages gameplay demo during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks of a May 15th release date.
This medieval-themed installment offers a distinct gameplay experience from DOOM: Eternal. Players will adopt a more grounded, tank-like combat style, emphasizing powerful weaponry over frenetic movement. Forget the constant jumping and parkour; expect brutal, close-quarters combat.
The core arsenal includes a shield and mace, providing a different tactical approach. A standout feature is the inclusion of a giant mech suit for battling smaller demons, and even the opportunity to ride a dragon during the campaign.
A customizable difficulty system allows players to fine-tune the challenge, adjusting enemy damage and other parameters to their preference.
