Dragon Ball Project: Multi, a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game based on the renowned Dragon Ball anime/manga franchise, is slated to launch in 2025, as declared this week on its official Twitter (X) account. While no precise release date has been confirmed, the Bandai-published game is anticipated to be accessible on Steam and mobile platforms. The Dragon Ball MOBA recently concluded a regional beta test, and the developers expressed appreciation to participating fans. "We sincerely thank everyone for taking part in the Regional [Beta] Test. All the valuable input we have received from our players will help our development team strive to make the game even more enjoyable."

Developed by Ganbarion, renowned for its work on One Piece video game adaptations, Dragon Ball Project: Multi is a 4v4 team-based strategy game. Players can expect to control iconic Dragon Ball characters such as Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Frieza, and more. "The Hero characters you command will grow stronger as the round progresses, enabling you to vanquish enemy players and bosses," the game's synopsis reads. Players can also anticipate extensive customization choices, including diverse skins, and unique entrance and finishing animations.

Dragon Ball fans were especially captivated by this MOBA, as the series is usually linked to fighting games, exemplified by the upcoming DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO fighting game from Spike Chunsoft. Although early reactions to the Dragon Ball Project: Multi beta test were favorable, some players expressed reservations. "It's a remarkably straightforward (and brief) MOBA, similar to Pokemon Unite," one player remarked on Reddit, adding that the gameplay is "decently fun."
