Dragon Quest X is coming to mobile, but so far only in Japan
Longtime fans of the *Dragon Quest* series are in for a treat! *Dragon Quest X Offline*, a single-player version of the popular MMORPG, is launching tomorrow on iOS and Android in Japan. This marks a significant step for the game, which previously only saw a console and PC release.
Japanese players can purchase *Dragon Quest X Offline* for a discounted price, enjoying the offline functionality. This release follows a much earlier attempt to bring *Dragon Quest X* to mobile in 2013 by Ubitu, which ultimately didn't materialize.
Unlike other *Dragon Quest* titles, *Dragon Quest X* features real-time combat and other MMORPG elements. The offline version, released in 2022, strips away the online component, making it accessible to a wider audience. The original *Dragon Quest X* launched in 2012, exclusively in Japan.
Unfortunately, there's currently no news regarding a global release for *Dragon Quest X Offline*. While the original game was Japan-only, the possibility of an international launch for the offline version remains open, but there's no confirmation at this time.
