Techland expands the Dying Light 2 experience with Tower Raid, a thrilling roguelite mode offering unpredictable gameplay and intense survival challenges. Following extensive testing, this highly anticipated mode is now live, providing a completely new way to navigate the infected city.

Instead of Aiden Caldwell, players choose from four unique warrior classes—Tank, Brawler, Ranger, and Specialist—each boasting distinct abilities and encouraging diverse playstyles and strategic teamwork. For a truly intense experience, players can even tackle the tower solo or with a reduced team size.

Tower Raid features three difficulty levels—Quick, Normal, and Elite—affecting both intensity and run length. The procedurally generated tower ensures each ascent is unique, with ever-changing floor layouts and enemy encounters demanding adaptability and strategic thinking.

A new progression system ensures that failure fuels success. Each failed attempt unlocks new abilities and weapons, gradually improving chances of survival in subsequent runs. At the tower's heart resides Sola, a mysterious merchant offering rare rewards such as the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to worthy players.

While preparing for the launch of Dying Light: The Beast, Techland remains dedicated to enhancing Dying Light 2 throughout 2025. Future updates will include improved co-op mechanics, refined matchmaking, expanded community map integration, additional Tower Raid characters, new melee and ranged weapons, a new weapon class, prologue enhancements, and significant graphical and technical optimizations.
