During today's Q1 earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson addressed questions about College Basketball's potential comeback, likely prompted by the viral tweet. Following June reports and this clever teaser, EA's College Basketball revival is officially confirmed—though fans will need patience, as the anticipated release isn't expected until 2028.

According to The Athletic, EA Sports' approved College Basketball proposal—endorsed by the Collegiate Licensing Company—will feature all Division I men's and women's teams (730 total). The planned six-game series, launching in 2028, will incorporate popular College Football elements like Dynasty Mode, Team Builder, Road to Glory, and Ultimate Team.

EA's last College Basketball release was in 2009. The series was halted due to controversies surrounding college athletes' likeness usage and lower sales compared to College Football.
