Reddit user Matrix_030 discovered that two of Placidusax's missing heads are embedded in the neck of Bayle the Dread, another formidable dragon boss. The extensive damage inflicted on both creatures indicates a brutal, protracted battle. Bayle also lacks wings and limbs, seemingly torn off during the fight.

The Talisman of the Dread, found in Elder's Hovel, provides further context. Its description details Bayle's challenge to the ancient Dragonlord, resulting in "grievous mutual injury."

Despite their injuries, both dragons remain incredibly powerful bosses, boasting massive health pools and complex attack patterns. Bayle's aggressive fighting style makes summoning Spirit Ashes difficult at the fight's start, unless specific strategies are employed.
