Explore Spider-Woman's Origins in New Marvel Contest of Champions Update
April is set to be an exhilarating month for Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC) players, with the introduction of the highly anticipated champion, Spider-Woman. Jessica Drew, known as Spider-Woman, was born into a world where uranium exposure near her home led to a grave illness. In a desperate bid to save her, her father, a brilliant geneticist, injected her with a unique concoction of spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica not only overcame the experiment's negative effects but also emerged with extraordinary spider powers, eventually becoming the iconic Spider-Woman. You can add her to your roster starting April 17th.
But before Spider-Woman makes her entrance, another champion, Lumatrix, will join the fray on April 9th. Designed by the Founders as one of their most lethal assassins, Lumatrix is equipped with dazzling light powers, making him a formidable force for infiltration and elimination.
What Else Is New?
On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," brings intense drama. Carina suffers severe injuries after an encounter with Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom collaborates with the Fantastic Four. The spread of Chronoserpent corruption poses a new threat, and a mysterious new villain, Lotan, emerges.
A new Event Quest, "Spy Games," begins on April 9th and runs until May 7th. Black Widow, delving into the enigma of the Eidols, recruits Spider-Woman to unravel the mystery.
Dark Phoenix is set to return in the Side Quest with "Dark Bounties," placing bounties on various champions. Players must hunt them down to claim their rewards.
The Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector also makes a comeback, challenging players to use their strongest Saga champions to earn Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
