How to Craft a Fishing Rod
To embark on your fishing adventure, you'll first need to craft a Fishing Rod at the Supplies Workbench. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 20 Logs: Gather these by chopping down trees.
- 10 Copper Ingots: Smelt these from Copper Ore and Charcoal in a furnace.
Before you start, make sure you’ve unlocked the Essential Tools under the Crafting section in your Memetics menu to access the Supplies Workbench. Simply press ‘F’ to add the fishing rod to your crafting queue. The time it will take to complete the crafting process will be displayed on the lower left side of your menu. Once it's finished, don’t forget to collect your new Fishing Rod from the workstation.

Like other perishable items in the game, fish have an expiry date. However, you can extend their freshness through various storage methods:
- Refrigerator: Store your fish here to keep them fresh for a few extra days.
- Meat Drier: Use this to dry your fish, preserving them indefinitely.
- Specimen Rack: Mount your fish on a rack to keep them fresh and edible as long as they're displayed. Note that you can only showcase one creature at a time.
- Fish Tank: A tank can hold up to four fish, depending on their size, offering a stylish way to store your catches.
