Rifts are rarely good news in gaming, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos with its new tactical collectible card game (CCG), Eerie Worlds. This highly anticipated sequel to Cards, the Universe and Everything offers a monster-themed adventure focused on fun and learning.

Eerie Worlds features a diverse range of monsters, each inspired by real-world mythological and folkloric horrors. From Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake-onna to Slavic creatures such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, the game boasts a truly global bestiary. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others populate this chilling collection. Each card includes detailed, researched descriptions, enriching the gameplay experience.

The game features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating complex tactical possibilities. Monsters share properties within their Hordes but may differ in others, adding significant strategic depth.

Your monster collection, known as your Grimoire, can be upgraded by merging duplicate cards. Starting with 160 base cards, merging unlocks many more, with additional cards planned for release soon.
