Fortnite Hunters ramps up the action with a host of exciting updates! This season boasts a Battle Pass brimming with Japanese mythology-inspired skins, powerful weapons, and items. But one of the most thrilling additions is the Oni Masks.

Oni Masks are unique to Fortnite Hunters, each granting players a mystical ability—either offensive or defensive. The Fire and Void Oni Masks are designed to give you a serious competitive edge.

Updated January 14, 2025, by Nathan Round: While finding Oni Masks often involves a bit of luck, there are now two guaranteed ways to get them. This guide has been updated to include purchasing from Daigo and a new reliable location.

All Oni Masks & How To Use Them

Void Oni Mask

The Void Oni Mask is a top choice for its mobility. Use the shoot button to throw a Void Tear, then aim and use the aim button to teleport to its location. The Epic variant has 15 uses with a 5-second cooldown; the Mythic version boasts 50 uses.

Fire Oni Mask

The Fire Oni Mask focuses on damage. Press the fire button to launch a guided flame projectile dealing 100 damage. It can hit multiple enemies at once. The Epic version has 8 uses with an 8-second cooldown; the Mythic variant has 16 uses.

How To Get Oni Masks in Fortnite

Searching Elemental Chests

Elemental Chests are your best bet. They guarantee an elemental item, including Oni Masks and Boons. Both Void and Fire Masks can be found this way, though it requires some luck. Named POIs offer the best chances.

Defeating Demon Warriors

Defeat Demon Warriors, marked on the map with an Oni Mask icon. They don't always drop a mask, but they can drop either a Void or Fire Oni Mask (depending on which they wield). They may also drop Typhoon Blades and Boons.

Searching Chests

Regular chests offer a chance (though less likely) to find Epic rarity Void and Fire Oni Masks.

Purchase From Daigo

Unlike the previous methods, Daigo at Masked Meadows offers a *guaranteed* purchase of both masks with Gold Bars. You'll need to complete his Mask Expertise Quests first.

Loot From Daigon's Hidden Workshop

Skip the quests! Daigo's hidden workshop (below the building north of Masked Meadows) contains a machine you can loot for both Void and Fire Oni Masks—guaranteed.

Defeating Bosses (Mythic Oni Masks Only)

For Mythic Oni Masks, defeat Night Rose (Demon's Dojo) for the Mythic Void Oni Mask, or Shogun X (Shogun's Arena) for the Mythic Fire Oni Mask. They function like their Epic counterparts but have more uses.
