Genshin Impact Version 5.4: Introducing Yumemizuki Mizuki, a New 5-Star Anemo Catalyst

Yumemizuki Mizuki, a new 5-Star Anemo character hailing from Inazuma, is set to debut in Genshin Impact's Version 5.4. Following the conclusion of the Natlan storyline in Version 5.3, this update offers a smaller-scale Inazuma-focused adventure, centered around a yokai-themed Flagship Event with Yae Miko playing a prominent role.

Mizuki, whose playable status was heavily speculated since late 2024, has been confirmed as a Standard Banner character in Version 5.4 beta testing. This 5-Star Anemo Catalyst user functions similarly to Sucrose, but with added healing capabilities. While Sucrose might excel in certain situations, Mizuki's versatility makes her a valuable addition to many Taser teams.

Initially leaked as a tapir yokai, the official reveal on Twitter (slightly later than anticipated) unveiled Mizuki's dual identity as a psychologist and the majority owner of the Aisa Bathhouse. Her friendship with Yae Miko strongly suggests her introduction during the Flagship Event, further supported by the inclusion of a dedicated Story Quest in Version 5.4.

Compared to the content-rich Version 5.3, Version 5.4 presents a more streamlined experience. It will include only one new character, a single Story Quest, and no new Artifact Domain or map expansion. Consequently, the Primogem rewards will be lower than usual. Players are advised to conserve their Lantern Rite rewards for Version 5.4, particularly if they aim to acquire highly sought-after Fontaine characters like Furina or Wriothesley, unless a Version 5.3 Chronicled Banner character strongly appeals to them.
