Unlocking the Gold Armor Vest in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies on The Tomb Map

Gold Armor is a game-changer in Call of Duty Zombies, offering self-repairing capabilities that significantly improve survivability. This guide details how to obtain this powerful upgrade on The Tomb map in Black Ops 6.

The Benefits of Gold Armor

First introduced in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, Gold Armor automatically repairs itself over time, eliminating the constant need for armor plating. This is especially valuable against tough enemies like Amalgams, ensuring you always have sufficient protection. While manual plating remains an option, the self-repair feature greatly enhances resource management.

Acquiring the Gold Armor Vest: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Locate the Statue Heads: Two statue heads are required to initiate the process. These are found within the Dark Aether Nexus, concealed inside destructible wooden boxes. Use melee attacks to break the boxes and collect the heads. One box is near a palm tree in a corner of the Nexus (image below), and the other is conveniently located close to the Juggernog Perk Machine.

   

2. Repair the Roman Statues: Transport the statue heads to the Dig Site area. Place each head on one of the two ruined Roman statues. One is near the Ammo Cache, and the other is closer to the Roman Mausoleum (where the Pack-a-Punch machine spawns).

3. Complete the Blood Sacrifices: Interacting with the repaired statues initiates a "Blood Sacrifice" challenge. This involves surviving waves of high-value target (HVT) enemies: Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. The challenge significantly reduces your health to 1 HP, but damage is absorbed by your armor. A Tier 3 vest and ample armor plates are crucial.

   

   Strategies for Surviving the Blood Sacrifice:

   • Solo Players: Utilize a Mutant Injection to transform into a Mangler, becoming temporarily invincible. Time the activation to coincide with the Blood Sacrifice's start.

   • Co-op Players: One player activates the sacrifice while another uses a Chopper Gunner from outside the Dig Site to eliminate the HVTs.

4. Claim Your Reward: After completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest becomes available for purchase at the Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.
