The much-anticipated PC release of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced, Rockstar's next-generation version of the legendary open-world game, is now available. Among the key upgrades are ray-traced reflections, updated vehicle designs, and numerous smaller adjustments that enhance the game's overall visual quality. The popular YouTube channel, GameV, recently released a side-by-side comparison video that showcases the graphical evolution of the game over the last 12 years. The improvements are most striking during rainy nights or in dimly lit environments, where the advanced global illumination and ray-traced reflections really stand out. However, under sunny conditions, the differences between the original and the enhanced version are less noticeable.

Despite an impressive launch, with over 187,000 concurrent players on Steam, exceeding the recent peak of 184,000 for the standard edition, the reception has been mixed. Currently, the game has garnered only 56% positive reviews on Steam. Many users have questioned the need for this update, citing the relatively minor visual enhancements. Additionally, there have been complaints about issues with DualSense functionality and glitches when transferring characters from the original GTA Online. While some players have managed to transfer their characters successfully, others are still encountering persistent bugs.
