The Falcon mount originally debuted during the "Fly the Falcon" promotional campaign tied to the release of the Stormblood expansion in the summer of 2017. Players who maintained an active subscription for at least 90 days during that period were rewarded with this unique mount.

Once the event ended, however, the Falcon mount was removed from circulation and became unobtainable—much to the dismay of newer players or those who joined after Stormblood’s launch.

How to Get the Falcon Mount in FFXIV

Fortunately, there's now a second chance to claim this rare mount through the recurring Moogle Treasure Trove Phantasmagoria event—a seasonal celebration offering a variety of exclusive items, including mounts, minions, furnishings, and accessories.

The Falcon Ignition Key has been reintroduced as one of the premium rewards in the current Phantasmagoria event. To earn it, you’ll need to participate in qualifying duties within the game. This includes content like GATEs (Gold Saucer Attire Trials: Extreme), making it accessible even to casual players.

Additionally, the Mogpendium contains optional challenges—weekly tasks and the once-per-event Ultimog challenge—that offer bonus Tomestones of Phantasmagoria upon completion.

These tokens can then be exchanged at the Initerant Moogle NPC, located in all three major cities, for a wide range of event-exclusive rewards. To obtain the Falcon mount, you'll need to spend exactly 50 x Tomestones of Phantasmagoria.

The Moogle Treasure Trove Phantasmagoria event will remain active until the release of Patch 7.2 on March 25, so time is limited. If you miss this window, you’ll have to wait for the next iteration of the event before you can try again.
