Halo Infinite's "Summer 2025 Update," running until June 10, is now live.

The update introduces new playlists, the devastating Mutilator power weapon, sandbox improvements, enhanced Forge tools, expanded Weapon Bench selections, plus 50 additional tiers, four armor sets, bonus XP, and an extra challenge slot for Premium Operation Pass holders.

While exciting for current players, some argue these improvements arrive too late. Halo Infinite has undergone dramatic transformation since launch, including 343 Industries' rebranding to Halo Studios. These changes followed precipitous player count declines due to content droughts, flawed progression systems, controversial monetization, and the cancellation of a promised battle royale mode.

Yet many believe Halo Infinite currently represents the series' peak.
