Hangry Morpeko Charges into Pokémon GO for Halloween
Pokémon GO's Halloween event is launching soon, with Niantic revealing details for Part 1 (yes, there's a Part 2!). Get ready for spooky encounters and exciting new features!
The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, to Monday, October 28th, 2024, 10:00 a.m. local time.
What's New?
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Its ability to switch between Full Belly and Hangry Mode mid-battle, altering its Aura Wheel attack (Electric or Dark-type, 100 power, Attack boost), is a thrilling addition.
During the event, Morpeko will appear more frequently in the GO Battle League's premium track, and later at Rank 16 and beyond (though still more common in premium battles).
A Spooky Celebration!
Pokémon GO will feature special Halloween decorations. Fans of the eerie Lavender Town theme will enjoy a remix of the classic music playing nightly throughout the event.
Dynamax Gastly joins one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.A free Timed Research event, running from October 22nd to November 3rd, focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Complete tasks to encounter Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
