Fans of *Star Wars Jedi: Survivor* were particularly excited to see new figures included in this latest wave of Star Wars toys. Nightsister Merrin now has a new figure, while the game's protagonist, Cal Kestis, is part of a dynamic three-pack set with Turgle and Skoova Stev. Notably, Cal comes with multiple interchangeable heads, including a much-loved handlebar mustache variant. Jing Houle explained the creative process behind this set, emphasizing the fun they had with Cal's various looks.

"We started with the handlebar mustache and the mullet, then added the clean-cut and short beard looks," Houle shared with IGN. "The handlebar mustache is almost the primary look for us, and it's just so much fun."

Merrin's inclusion was a natural choice given her importance to the *Fallen Order/Survivor* storyline. Chris Reiff highlighted the challenges and rewards of depicting her unique Force abilities accurately.

"It's tough to have Cal without Merrin," Reiff noted. "We're thrilled to finally bring her to life with the green Force blast effect, her new costume's intricate details, and the face tattoos. It's all about capturing the subtlety and beauty of her character, which we know fans are deeply invested in."

This year's lineup also features refreshed versions of classic characters Han Solo and Chewbacca. Despite their frequent appearances in Hasbro's collections, Jing Houle insists there's always room for improvement.

"It's been a while since we've updated them," Houle said. "We've given them new tools and the latest articulation technology, ensuring fans can enjoy these classic characters with modern enhancements. We've also learned a lot from previous Wookiee figures, using softer plastics for Chewbacca's long hair to allow seamless head movement."

For Han Solo, they've added articulation to the top of his boot to maintain the integrity of his iconic red-striped pants. "We didn't want to separate the red bars on his thigh, so we thought it was important to keep that clean," Houle explained.

The most striking figure in the lineup is The Ronin, inspired by the anime anthology series *Star Wars: Visions*. As a black-and-white figure with a red katana lightsaber, The Ronin embodies the series' unique aesthetic. Given its status as a Celebration-exclusive release, both Houle and Reiff focused on perfecting every detail.

"We paid close attention to everything from packaging to design and engineering," Houle said. "The box's premium look, the use of magnets to open it, the hidden accessories, and the watercoloring all reflect our respect for Japanese culture."

Reiff added, "We even used Japanese language for this exclusive packaging, which is not something we usually do. But since we were in Japan, we wanted to embrace the culture fully."

For fans of the 1:1 scale Black Series helmet line, Hasbro unveiled a meticulously detailed Death Trooper helmet. Chris Reiff described it as a new tooled helmet for the Black Series Premium roleplay line, complete with movie-accurate weathering and lighting details.

"It looks like it's straight out of the movie," Reiff said. "You can control the chin lights and the spectre sensor lights with a button on the side. We worked closely with Lucasfilm to ensure accuracy and added our own detailed interior, which the real helmets never had."
